Lent seems to have flown by and now we have celebrated Palm Sunday!Palm Sunday begins our celebration of Holy Week. The schedule shifts a bit this week. Monday-Wednesday: daily mass moves to 7 pm Holy Thursday: 7 pm mass Good Friday: Good Friday Service at 4 pm followed by simple (read "meager") supper in the Parish Hall. At 6:30 we have a Living Stations of the Cross. Saturday: The Easter Vigil will be celebrated when the sun sets, shortly are 7 pm. This mass will be in English. Thanksgiving
This is always a beautiful celebration here at St. Maryʼs. A great many people come to Mass (and itʼs NOT a day of obligation!), During our Eucharist, some people will have brought some bread & wine, symbols of the meal that they will share later in the day, and they will be blessed. this day, which begins with Mass continues with family & friends (and, believe it or not, some people even watch football!!!). Next Saturday, May 14, 2011, Archbishop Rodi will be here to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation at 10:00 a.m.. Those to be confirmed are: Gricelda Bran, Matthew Christian, Jason Clark, Michael Fetsch, Alex Lopez, Rosie Mendoza, Patrick Murphy, Lourdes Perez, Yesenia Perez, Emily Scroggins & Samuel "Trip" Taylor On Sunday, May 15th, during the Mass in Spanish, Julio Lux & Moisés Gonzalez, will also celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation. Catholic Family Gathering
The parishes of St. Mary's and St. Michael's invite you to join us for a Catholic Family Gathering - we are united in diversity for the love of God. When: 7:00-9:00pm on Saturday, October 9, 2010 Where: St. Michael's Catholic Church, Auburn AL What: A family evening featuring choir music (Spanish and English), artistic dance presentation, a talk about family values, piñatas and more!
