Perhaps the best way to surprise someone is to celebrate a few days early. Even his sister, brother-in-law and family friends sneaked in from as far away as California.
He survived some gentle ribbing at the roast as well as the special “Kitty Litter [birthday] Cake”. We hear that Emil helped prepare the cake.
